W W E RAW 4-5-04
Recap of the last two weeks.  Opening montage.  JR and the King are your hosts.
Molly Holly def Trish Stratus via Pinfall (Rollup following reversal of Stratusfaction)
Molly "Baldy" Holly gets the win after reversing the Stratusfaction. It appeared that Trish had botched the move in the beginning until Molly dropped Trish with a back drop suplex coming out of it. Molly then hit another series of suplexes to put Trish down for the count.
La Resistance is seen in the back with Fifi the dog discussing how to beat Benoit. Grenier says that he has a plan. As the three huddle the camera cuts back to the ring where Booker T makes a challenge to anyone to come out and face him. Because he can beat anyone and will do so to prove that he belongs in the main event at Backlash.
Matt Hardy Version 1.0 def Booker T via Pinfall (Twist Of Fate)
Booker T controlled the match for most of the time. However a missed axe kick attempt by Booker T leads to a very quick Side Effect for two. The two slug it out and suddenly Matt Hardy hits the Twist of Fate for the pinfall. Booker T looks stunned that he lost and is livid going into a commercial break.

Coming back from the commercial break we find Evolution getting Randy Orton psched up for his match later tonight. Triple H comes in and all eyes are on him as Evolution switches gears to getting him ready for his match with Goldberg!
Christian def Edge via Pinfall (Unprettier) in a Non-Title match
Christian then gets on the microphone and demands that Edge give him a title shot next week. As he continues to try to get Edge to give him a title shot, Matt Hardy v1 comes out and tells him that if anyone deserves a title shot it's him. The two of them bicker back and forth until Randy Orton gives them both the RKO at the same time! Orton then gets on the mic and reminds Edge (and the rest of us) that he has the first title shot coming up at Backlash. And if they have a problem with that, they can go through him first.
Chris Benoit def Rob Conway via Submission (Crippler Crossface)
Shawn Michaels comes out to watch the match from the announce table. Sylvain Grenier and Rene Dupree both attempt to interfere with the match, but all that does is get Benoit upset and he procedes to deliver the Rolling Germans to each of the three members of La Resistance in succession. After Benoit dupms both Dupree and Grenier, Rob Conway attempts to tackle Benoit, but gets the Crippler Crossface locked on in the center of the ring and is forced to tap out.

Rob Van Dam is seen in the back talking to Booker T following a commercial break. Coach interrupts to inform Booker T that Eric Bischoff has ordered a match for him next week against a mystery opponent. Booker tells Coach that he "ain't sweatin' that." Coach says that it's a good thing he isn't. Especially since if he loses, he'll be traded to Smack Down!
Randy Orton def Rob Van Dam via Pinfall (RKO)
RVD dominates Orton from the start and looks to be ready to get the win, when Ric Flair pushes RVD from the top turnbuckle right into the waiting sights of Randy Orton for the RKO. Flair then gets on the mic and offers for anyone in the back to come to the ring to be a "Lumberjack" as Bischoff has changed the Triple H/Goldberg match into a Lumberjack Match! While Flair is naming names of people he would like to see out there, the camera cuts to the back where Stone Cold Steve Austin comes out of Eric Bischoff's office.

A few of the guys from the back have come down to serve as lumberjacks and Triple H has already made his way to the ring when we return from a commercial break. Goldberg comes down to the ring and stands beside it while looking up into the ring. He gets a microphone and notes that there is not a referee and that Stone Cold is not there. He had just spoken with Stone Cold who told him that he'd be down there shortly.
Austin's music hits and he comes down to the ring. Flair gets into Austin's face saying that there is no way he can be a lumberjack as they have the maximum ten lumberjacks already as detailed by the match contract. Austin then tells Flair to shut up and proceeds to tear off the shirt he wore to the ring and toss it into the crowd, only to put on a WWE Referee's jersey!
Goldberg def Triple H via Pinfall (Jackhammer)
The match is very even with the advantage going to Triple h due to the lumberjacks. But as Austin warns Triple H that he can't use a closed fist, Triple H pushes Austin down. Austin then starts beating Triple H from corener to corner and eventually hits a stunner. Triple H staggers back after the stunner right into a Goldberg Jackhammer for the 1-2-3.
