Matt Hardy v1 def Christopher Nowinski via Pinfall (Twist of Fate) to win the ECW Television Championship
Nowinski comes down to the announce table and tells all three of the announcers that he does not have to defend his title tonight, as it is an anniversary show. He goes to the ring to gloat about this some more when Paul Heyman comes out and reminds him that the Television Championship has a clause in the contract that it must be defended on every single televised broadcast of Nitro. And as such, Christopher Nowinski WILL be defending the title. . .Now.

As Heyman leaves the ring, Matt Hardy v1 comes out of the crowd and attacks Nowinski. Nowinski gets several quick near falls while pummeling Hardy with constant punches and kicks. Matt comes back though and gets a near fall of his own with the Side Effect. Matt goes to try for the second rope leg drop. Nowinski moves, and goes to retaliate, but walks right into a Twist of Fate for the three count.
Abyss def Chavo Guerrero via Pinfall (Black Hole Slam)
The match is retrobution for Chavo from Paul Heyman for interfering with too many matches. Chavo comes out to start and says that he don't care who Heyman has found to punish him with. In fact, he'll beat whomever Heyman sends out. Abyss comes out with no music or video and Chavo gets legit scared. Heyman shows up on the video screen and tells Chavo that he's gone out and found himself someone who is even better than Rhyno to take care of problems like Chavo.

Chavo tries in vain to get some offense in to start. Abyss just shrgs off everything Chavo throws at him. He tosses Chavo around from various positions, and eventually hits the Black Hole Slam to put Chavo down for good. Afterwards, he picks Chavo up and tosses him from the ring over the guard rail into the crowd.
