Your Hosts: JR and Jerry 'The King' Lawler.

JR welcomes us and reminds us that all four of the RAW titles will be on the line tonight. Quick rundown of the card:
Christian v Matt Hardy v1
Molly v Victoria for the Women's Title
Triple H v Kane
Evolution (Batista & Ric Flair variant) v The Dudley Boyz for the World Tag Team Championship
Goldberg v Rob Van Dam
Randy Orton v Edge for the Intercontinental Championship
Chris Benoit v 'HBK' Shawn Michaels for the World Heavyweight Championship
Christian def Matt hardy v1 via Pinfall (Unprettier)
CLB Chant goes up for Christian right out of the gate. Matt hardy dominate most of the match but when the referee get hit with an errant drop kick by Hardy, Christian capitalizes by bringin in a chair. Three shots to the head and an Unprettier on the chair, toss said international object out of ring and wake ref to count three. Christian wins. After the match he gets a microphone and tells Edge to hold on to his title for him tonight. He'll be coming for it tomorrow.
Coach is in the back talking to Evolution. Triple H notes that tonight he has to face Kane to even be considered in the hunt for a title shot. But that doesn't matter. None of it matters because he will be there and he will have a title shot at the King Of The Ring in June. Guaranteed. Orton starts to run his mouth about how Edge was not even supposed to be a part of RAW and therefore cannot be the Intercontinental Champion. And tonight, he'll show Edge what a real champion can do. Flair says that he isn't going to say anything to the Dudley Boys other than to watch out, because when you're on a roll like Evolution is. . .It's hard to stop.
Victoria def Molly Holly via Pinfall (Widow's Peak) to retain the Women's Championship
The match was a clinic in wrestling as both women continually pushed each other by trying to out-wrestle the other. The combinations of reversals and counters came just as quickly as the rest of the points at which nothing was reversed. Very crisp moves from both with Molly even hitting the Molly-Go-Round, only to see Victoria kick out. Molly lost her makeshift wig at that point and while she was searching for where it had fallen to, Victoria snuck up from behind and hit the Widow's Peak for the win.
Triple H def Kane via Disqualification (Greco-Roman Chair Shot)
Exactly what you would expect in a match of this sort. Continued pounding from both men. So much so that Eric Bischoff came out and stopped the match at one point to announce that it would now be a falls count anywhere match because the two couldn't stay in the ring. As they brawled up the stage, Triple H grabbed a chair and was going to hit Kane with it, but the Big Red Machine simply moved out of the way. A kick to the stomach and Kane then waffled Triple H right in front of the ref, for the DQ.

Somewhere in the back during the match, Vince McMahon is shown arriving to the show. Shane and Paul Heyman both also get out of the limosine. JR asks why they should be here.
Evolution (Flair and Batista var.) def The Dudley Boys via Pinfall (DAVEbomb to Bubba) to win the WWE Tag Team Titles
The Dudleys dominated when Flair was in the ring, and were dominated when Batista was in the ring. Match kept moving back and forth at that pace until Evolution broke down the Dudleys and Batista hit a massive DAVEbomb on D-Von outside the ring. Flair makes the tage to Batista and he nails Bubba with another DAVEbomb for Flair to get the pinfall. Triple H and Randy Orton both come out to celebrate, but as they are leaving the ring Vince's music plays.
Vince McMahon comes down to the ring to make his announcement involving NITRO. (There's even a little graphic that says that's why he's here at the bottom of the screen. Nice touch.) He rambles on about how he has been thus far unimpressed with the brand split and that he felt it necessary to create a little more competition. And this is why he chose to create NITRO. But he has thought long and hard about it and feels that the best way to select what wrestlers will be involved with NITRO is to have a good old fashioned draft. But nothing like what WWE has seen before. No, this one will be held on both RAW and Smack Down! this week and the new General Manager of NITRO, Paul Heyman, will be selecting from a bin with the names of all the superstars on the two shows to fill the base of his roster for the new ECW NITRO!

Vince then goes on to say that Heyman can also actively pursue up to ten additional wrestlers total from both RAW and Smack Down! to fill his roster out the rest of the way. And the draft will begin tomorrow night when Heyman gets to select five RAW Superstars to become part of ECW NITRO begining May 1st!

JR and the King are in shock and both try to figure out what can happen to the RAW roster. King wonders if he and JR would be listed in that loterry bin.
Goldberg def Rob Van Dam via Pinfall (Jackhammer)
Rob Van Dam gets some offense in early on Goldberg and looks like he has a chance to beat him, until Goldberg hits a spear from out of nowhere. It's academic after that when Goldberg puts RVD up for the Jackhammer.

Right after the match is over the camera cuts to the back where Vince is talking to Shane, Eric Bischoff and Paul Heyman. He says that the announcers are exempt as Heyman will be getting Coach from RAW and Josh Matthews from Smack Down! to start with. But that does not mean that there could not be trades. The referees will be eligible to be drafted, but will not count against the five men from RAW or Smack Down! and if Heyman should select more than three referees total, the first one selected after three would be assigned to the show that had lost two referees. All the details will be posted ont he WWE website and should be in each of their e-mail boxes if they have any further questions.
Edge def Randy Orton via Pinfall (Edge-ucution) to retain the WWE Intercontinental Championship
Edge wins the match handily, showing Randy Orton why he is making a case for a shot at the World Heavyweight Championship soon. Edge avoids the RKO by Orton several times through the match and eventually hits the Edge-ucution. Orton kicks out of the first one and fights back, but to no avail as Edge hits a cross body block after being thrown into the ropes. Another Edge-ucution and Edge retains his title.
Chris Benoit def 'HBK' Shawn Michaels via Submission (Crippler Crossface) to win the World Heavyweight Championship
Both men pushed each other to a level that neither had been to before. Benoit, bleeding from a gash over his eye, goes up top after delivering the Rolling Germans to attempt a swan dive headbutt, only to miss. Michaels sets up for the Sweet Chin Music, but that misses. The two continue to force one another to miss until Benoit reverses an Irish Whip into a Crippler Crossface right in the middle of the ring. Michaels tries desperately to get to the ropes, but is unable to and is forced to tap out. The match was 45 minutes of continuous chain wrestling and reversals, so it was very believeable that Michaels might be able to make the ropes. But when he was unable to and subsequently tapped out, the arena erupted as Chris Benoit won the World Heavyweight Championship in his hometown of Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. The show closes with a shot of Benoit holding the title belt high for all to see and Edge, Christian, Jericho and the rest of the locker room cheering for him just as much as the fans.
